Des Plaines, Illinois, USA – June 21, 2022: (TSX: NFI, OTC: NFYEF, TSX: NFI.DB) Motor Coach Industries (“MCI”), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (“NFI”), a leading independent bus and coach manufacturer and a leader in electric mass mobility solutions, today announced that Jefferson Partners L.P. (operating as “Jefferson Lines”) has exercised options for seven MCI® D4520 clean-diesel motor coaches.

Jefferson Lines is one of America’s largest motorcoach carriers, providing transportation services in 14 states to thousands of destinations across America. The Minneapolis-based carrier was named Minnesota’s 2021 Gold Best Transportation Company in the StarTribune’s Annual Minnesota’s Best Contest, MCI’s 2019 Innovative Operator of the Year, Wanderu’s 2022 People’s Choice Award Honoree for “Business Travelers’ Favorite”, and the 2022 recipient of the American Bus Association’s (“ABA”) Leadership and Environmental Sustainability Award, presented by MCI.

“MCI’s collaboration with Jefferson Lines spans 20 years, with over 100 motorcoaches delivered since 2002. Today, Jefferson Lines is relying on the innovation and style offered by our D4520 coach, including custom seating, interior and exterior safety cameras, upgraded air filtration, and automatic snow chains,” said Chris Stoddart, President, North American Bus and Coach, NFI. “Built with legendary MCI quality, the fuel efficient D4520 coach delivers dependability, exceptional passenger comfort, and high-quality performance for intercity travel.”

The D4520 motorcoach features clean-diesel technology and an advanced Cummins engine, which reduces particulate emissions, fuel consumption, and total cost of ownership, ultimately providing a safe and economical choice for long distance travel. MCI's D4520 coaches also conform to 2021 Environmental Protection Agency greenhouse gas emissions standards for heavy-duty passenger vehicles.

Built on the redesigned, next-generation D-Series model, the D4520 motorcoach comes with comprehensive aftermarket support, including in-field service expertise, technical call center, and 24/7 roadside assistance. For more information, visit mcicoach.com/d-series.
